About Pedagogy of Resistance Institute

Pedagogy of Resistance Institute was created to support educators who believe that teaching is not neutral. Classrooms are places where young people learn not only content, but also identity, power, history, belonging, imagination, and possibility.

We work with schools, districts, and organizations to help educators design learning experiences that are rigorous, culturally responsive, socially conscious, and deeply connected to students’ lives.

Our approach is grounded in the belief that students deserve a curriculum that reflects their communities, challenges injustice, builds critical thinking, and affirms their humanity.
